A couple of incredible things I've found this week

education resources strategy Feb 15, 2021

While working with the guys at Macro Ops we borrowed an idea from Tim Ferris and his 5 bullet Friday's email format. The reason is because it is a great way to always be on the lookout for amazing things to share with people. I bet you can guess where this is going now.

So let me start the FIRST of these types of emails with what I want you to have/do in order to be a better trader. These are like table stakes, buy/read/do these things.

Also if you leave me forever and buy absolutely everything offered by these people and never even wave hi to me in the all, I don't mind in the least. These links/recommendations are the best in the game and I won't be sad at all knowing that you are moving in the right direction with your trading and life.

These products might cost money and these may be affiliate links.

Super Trader: Make Consistent Profits in Good and Bad Markets

This is one of the best books about trading in the business. Dr. Van Tharp is one of the biggest influences on me and my trading and has helped me tremendously. Also the creator of the SQN indicator that I talk about a bunch.

Definitive Guide to Position Sizing : How to Evaluate Your System and Use Position Sizing to Meet Your Objectives

This book goes deep into understanding how DRAMATICALLY important position sizing is and how you can understand how and when to adjust your position sizing based on quantitative measures. It's not cheap, it's a big text book, but worth every penny.

High School Stock Manipulator (NY Times Link)

This is the story of a high school stock manipulator who made a million dollars by posting fake news stories in message boards and AOL chat rooms back in 1999. I talked a bit about this in the Trading Stories podcast, but this was fun to relive.

Long Form

I found the above story from this amazing resource. It's called Long Form from the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh. If you are every hungry for some great long form stories, podcasts and such this is a great link to bookmark. I've uncovered some articles from the 1800's in there, which was quite enjoyable.

The Pomp Podcast

If you are from the crypto world you are very familiar with Anthony Pompliano or "Pomp" and even if you aren't you might know of his podcast where he is quite prolific with getting some great guests on his podcast like Chamath Palihapitiya, Raoul Paul, Mark Cuban and the CEO of the firm I manage a portfolio at John McCorvey.

Finally, I sent out the info for the Trading Thunderdome which we will be starting Wednesday July 1. It is going to be intense, challenging, rewarding and it won't be cheap. If you want to apply to join the Thunderdome here's a bit more information about it and be sure to fill out the form at the bottom of the post.
